Call for days and hours of operation
A monthly food box program for income eligible elders age 60+, postpartum women
for one year, pregnant women, and children from birth to the month they turn six
years old who do not receive services from another government voucher program, Women
Infants Children (WIC). This program’s food is provided by USDA through the State
of Kansas and may include such items as canned juice, fruit, vegetables, milk &
meat, peanut butter or dry beans, cereal, macaroni or rice, and 2# of cheese for
each family member who qualifies by age and income. It is available in Sedgwick,
Butler, Reno, Pratt, Sumner, Kingman, Harper, Harvey, Chautauqua, Cowley, and Stafford
counties in Kansas. Women and children are qualified at 185% of Federal poverty
level ($3,400 gross monthly income for a family of four); elders qualify at 130%
of the Federal poverty level ($1,579 gross monthly income for two in the household).
